The Library Shop SD’s popular program has kicked off this July at all 37 San Diego Public Library locations.<\/p>\n

“Where’s Odi,” the month-long scavenger hunt, asks San Diegans to find a miniature “Odi the Coyote” figure at all library branches for the chance to win a raffle prize.<\/p>\n

According to their press release, the program’s goal is for families to explore their neighborhood’s library and learn more about the programs and services they offer. <\/p>\n

If you wish to participate, all you have to do is: <\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Pick up an official “Where’s Odi” passport at any San Diego Public Library.<\/li>\n
  2. Find Odi at each of the 37 local library branches. Once you do, tell a librarian, they’ll stamp your passport and give you a button. Each branch has a designated button.<\/li>\n
  3. Turn in your stamped passport to any library or the Library Shop SD at the Central Library by July 31st. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    All passports turned in can enter the raffle with the same chance of winning, no matter how many “Odis” you find.<\/p>\n

    Last year, more than 150 participants visited all 37 libraries, with nearly 3,000 people participating overall and over 12,000 buttons were given out, according to their press release.<\/p>\n

    The library adoped “Odi” as the new mascot in 2022, and replaced the previous “Where’s Waldo?” program. “Odi” stands for “opportunity, discovery and inspiration,” officials said.<\/p>\n
