Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi<\/a> landed in Israel on Wednesday afternoon for an official visit. Modi was greeted by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife, Sara, at Ben-Gurion Airport.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Following the arrival of the Indian head of state, Netanyahu’s office stated that he and Modi<\/a> have a “close personal relationship” that “strongly reflects the relations between the two countries.”<\/p>\n

Modi’s visit began with a ceremony at Ben-Gurion Airport<\/a>, which included a private meeting between the prime ministers.<\/p>\n

After the meeting, Modi is due to proceed to the Knesset for an official reception ceremony and speeches at the Knesset plenum, the PMO noted.<\/p>\n

After that, both leaders will attend an innovation event at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Jerusalem. The Netanyahus will then host Modi for a joint dinner.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, the prime ministers will visit the Yad Vashem<\/a> Holocaust museum and hold an expanded meeting at the King David Hotel in Jerusalem.<\/p>\n

The leaders will then sign a series of agreements between Israel and India in the economic, security, and diplomatic fields, “boosting cooperation between the two nations.” This will be followed by joint press statements, the PMO confirmed.<\/p>\n
