Many of the fans in those crowds had big hopes of catching up with their favorite celebrities from sports and entertainment.This year\u2019s event marked 36 years of the celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe. Many of the participants are repeat players.\u201cThis is spectacular,\u201d said Chris Harrison, known for his time as host of The Bachelor. \u201cI mean, scoring wise, not great, but the fans are out. The sun&#8217;s out. Lake Tahoe is out. It&#8217;s as good as it gets.\u201dRyder Colomb, of Manteca, had his heart set on meeting athletes Patrick Peterson, Josh Allen and Austin Reeves. \u201cPatrick Peterson, he let me go on the tee with him so he&#8217;s my favorite player,\u201d Colomb said.Zach LaVine, of the Sacramento Kings, told KCRA 3 there aren\u2019t too many parallels between golf and basketball but that both require mental toughness. \u201cYou&#8217;re playing not against everybody else; you&#8217;re playing against yourself,\u201d he said of golf. \u201cIt&#8217;s just a really fun game. I love it.\u201dIn between shots, energetic crowds snagged autographs, pictures and quick hellos with the golfers. KCRA 3\u2019s Lee Anne Denyer caught up with Saturday Night Live\u2019s Colin Jost in between holes.\u201cNow I&#8217;m providing lots of entertaining golf content,\u201d he said. \u201cI just, I love being here.\u201dSteve Roman and his wife drove up to Tahoe from Roseville for the tournament.\u201cThe atmosphere is always fun,\u201d he said. \u201cIt&#8217;s always an energetic atmosphere and the celebrities are really cool. Come up and take a photo with you, chat with you and then move on to the next hole.\u201dComedian Nate Bargatze is a returning player, saying this is an event he makes sure is on his calendar.\u201cIt&#8217;s still one of the best, one of the best events and I look forward to it,\u201d he said. \u201cI block it off of on my calendar as early as i can the year before.
