The second-round pick out of Saint Joseph\u2019s missed the Suns&#8217; 103-84 victory on July 11, over the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/sportsdata.usatoday.com\/basketball\/nba\/teams\/washington-wizards\/27\/\" data-autotag=\"cced51c5-8f98-4cfd-8934-9759cefdcdd0\" rel=\"noopener\">Washington Wizards<\/a> at Thomas &amp; Mack Center.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re just trying to be cautious with him,\u201d Suns summer league coach DeMarre Carroll said after the win. \u201cWe\u2019ve been playing that way in practice up-and-down the court, a lot of scrimmaging. We\u2019re just trying to be cautious.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Suns will play a total of five summer league games with the third being Monday, July 14, against the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/sportsdata.usatoday.com\/basketball\/nba\/teams\/sacramento-kings\/23\/\" data-autotag=\"3167e433-c189-4ca5-b7ab-4c9e41dbb11b\" rel=\"noopener\">Sacramento Kings<\/a> and the fourth one Wednesday, July 16, versus the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/sportsdata.usatoday.com\/basketball\/nba\/teams\/minnesota-timberwolves\/16\/\" data-autotag=\"ac5e47f0-6bd5-488e-9fd0-a3a235704d6f\" rel=\"noopener\">Minnesota Timberwolves<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;We&#8217;re just trying to be cautious with him.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Suns summer league head coach DeMarre Carroll on Rasheer Fleming (right knee soreness) sitting out Friday&#8217;s game.<\/p>\n<p>On if he&#8217;ll play Sunday: &#8220;I got to talk to the medical to see where he&#8217;s at. Fleming was the last player to leave the gym after practice on July 10, his 21st birthday.<\/p>\n<p>At the time, Fleming was eager to establish himself in his first summer league game.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cReally just show my ability to compete,\u201d Fleming said that day. \u201cLike I was saying before, if anything goes wrong, I can always know that I played hard and gave it my all on both ends of the floor. Just really happy with what we did out there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Maluach added 14 points and five rebounds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt felt great being back and playing 5-on-5 basketball again,\u201d he said. \u201cI was excited to be out there, especially with this group of guys. I had to figure everything out. It&#8217;s a new game. It&#8217;s a new playing style. It&#8217;s a professional game. So for them just to be there and support us and show us that this is important to them as well is really big for us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, Royce O\u2019Neale, Mark Williams and Collin Gillespie were at the game as well as Suns general manager Brian Gregory, CEO Josh Bartelstein, head coach Jordan Ott and assistants Jesse Mermuys and Brian Randle.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s great to have our vets sit courtside and watch us,\u201d Maluach said. \u201cWe\u2019ll probably go back to the hotel and they\u2019ll give us some feedback on what they think and tell us more and keep on teaching us and guiding us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Maluach\u2019s agent, Rich Paul, sat beside Gregory during the game.<\/p>\n<p class=\"exclude-from-newsgate\">Have opinions about the current state of the\u00a0Suns?
