Tour, attention will now turn to the United States. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/us-open\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">US Open<\/a> will soon be on the horizon, and there will be a number of players bidding to get their hands on the final Grand Slam of the year. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/iga-swiatek\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Iga Swiatek<\/a> won at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/wimbledon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wimbledon<\/a> as she thrashed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/amanda-anisimova\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Amanda Anisimova<\/a> 6-0, 6-0 in the final to end her wait for another Grand Slam title, taking her total to six. <\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s been a brilliant fortnight for both players at the All England Club and now they can both take a lot of pride in their efforts when they look at the new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/wta\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WTA<\/a> rankings. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" loading=\"lazy\" rankings announced after Wimbledon final<\/p>\n<p>Swiatek sailed through the draw to reach the final of the tournament and then produced a performance that was nothing short of a masterclass in the final. <\/p>\n<p>The Polish performer now has six Grand Slam crowns to her name and perhaps now she will be eyeing a tilt at returning to the world number one spot. <\/p>\n<p>As for Anisimova, it\u2019s been a couple of weeks that she will never forget with the player showcasing to the world exactly what she is capable of doing in the world of tennis. <\/p>\n<p>It would have been a very heartwarming story to see Anisimova win the tournament, given what she\u2019s gone through in terms of taking time off the tour to prioritise her mental wellbeing. <\/p>\n<p>Iga Swiatek and Amanda Anisimova discover new WTA world ranking<\/p>\n<p>Anisimova is the big winner when it comes to the rankings and has now jumped into the world\u2019s top 10. <\/p>\n<p>That should put her in good shape for future tournaments and she will now surely have the belief that she belongs in big finals at the best tournaments. get back up to that position at some point. <\/p>\n<p>The US Open is always a superb tournament, and now it will be fascinating to see what happens at Flushing Meadows in August.
