{"id":622677,"date":"2026-02-28T16:50:11","date_gmt":"2026-02-28T16:50:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/622677\/"},"modified":"2026-02-28T16:50:11","modified_gmt":"2026-02-28T16:50:11","slug":"woodys-tavern-closure-leads-fort-worth-news-this-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/622677\/","title":{"rendered":"Woody&#8217;s Tavern closure leads Fort Worth news this week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fort Worth has already proven to be a major <a href=\"https:\/\/fortworth.culturemap.com\/news\/city-life\/best-cities-startups-fort-worth\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">hu<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/fortworth.culturemap.com\/news\/city-life\/best-cities-startups-fort-worth\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">b<\/a> for new businesses, and now one of its neighbors &#8211; <strong>Mansfield<\/strong> &#8211; is rising up among the best small U.S. cities for big career opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>A new nationwide <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coworkingcafe.com\/blog\/best-small-cities-for-big-careers\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">survey<\/a> from CoworkingCafe ranked Mansfield at No. 37 among career hotspots with populations under 250,000 residents.<\/p>\n<p> Three more North Texas cities \u2013<strong> Frisco<\/strong>, <strong>Flower Mound<\/strong>, and <strong>McKinney<\/strong> \u2013 made it into the top 20.<\/p>\n<p>Other local cities that made it into the top 100 include Allen (No. 43), Richardson (No. 58), and Lewisville (No. 80).<\/p>\n<p>According to the study, these standout U.S. suburbs &#8220;combine economic acceleration with day-to-day livability, offering residents both upward mobility and stable community fundamentals.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Frisco ranked the highest, climbing up into No. 11, and CoworkingCafe said the suburb has a &#8220;highly engaged&#8221; workforce whose wages have surged 33 percent since 2019. Frisco households make a median income of $145,444 a year, the report added.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The labor force is highly engaged (74.2 percent) with low unemployment and a strong employer base supported by 3,050 establishments per 100[,000] residents,&#8221; the report said. &#8220;With 95 percent [of residents having] fiber access, excellent healthcare and top-tier safety, Frisco backs its economic strength with day-to-day comfort.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Affluent Flower Mound, which was crowned the <a href=\"https:\/\/fortworth.culturemap.com\/news\/real-estate\/flower-mound-2025-best-cities\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">best place to live<\/a> in the U.S. in 2025, followed after Frisco in the No. 15 spot. CoworkingCafe said the suburb&#8217;s $166,624 median household income has grown 25 percent from 2019 to 2024, and the city&#8217;s &#8220;affordability remains favorable relative to income levels.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>If North Texans are seeking <a href=\"https:\/\/dallas.culturemap.com\/news\/real-estate\/mckinney-plano-most-affordable\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">affordability<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/dallas.culturemap.com\/news\/real-estate\/mckinney-plano-most-affordable\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> over all other factors, No. 20-ranking McKinney is the place to be. The report said McKinney offers the perfect balance between &#8220;affordability, opportunity and amenities.&#8221; It doesn&#8217;t hurt that households earn a median annual income of $124,177, a figure that has ballooned 24 percent over the last five years.<\/p>\n<p>Mansfield is a fast-growing Tarrant County city booming with new retail and restaurant offerings like <a href=\"https:\/\/fortworth.culturemap.com\/news\/restaurants-bars\/boomerjacks-sports-bar-mansfield\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Boomer Jack&#8217;s<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/fortworth.culturemap.com\/news\/restaurants-bars\/rotolos-pizza-mansfield\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Rotolo&#8217;s<\/a> pizzeria, the first DFW location of Utah-based <a href=\"https:\/\/fortworth.culturemap.com\/news\/restaurants-bars\/beans-and-brews-mansfield-dfw\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Beans &amp; Brews Coffeehouse<\/a>, and the forthcoming <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mansfieldtexas.gov\/m\/newsflash\/home\/detail\/1140?fbclid=IwY2xjawQJx5ZleHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETJFaEpRUEhzSTlib1JtY21Ec3J0YwZhcHBfaWQQMjIyMDM5MTc4ODIwMDg5MgABHrLzrWFxAXUMRAKdN-ZiahqhtMvxY-AexWj6QUXhO0DVnwoTzNTvm77xWKef_aem_xpptGk8P4U5rKQOAt-q5_w\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Geyer Commons<\/a> development.
