JACKSONVILLE, Fla.<\/strong> \u2013 The hot, humid, and stormy pattern continues on Sunday and will last through most of the week ahead.<\/p>\n Highs in our region will be in the mid-90s, which allows both the opportunity for strong storms to develop and for the heat index to reach close to advisory levels. The National Weather Service will issue a Heat Advisory if the heat index reaches 108 for 2 or more hours. Clouds are expected to help keep advisory levels just below the threshold.<\/p>\n Dangerous lightning, gusty winds, and heavy downpours can be expected as the thunderstorms develop by 4 p.m. and last through sunset. These storms will be centered mostly over northeast Florida and coastal southeast Georgia.<\/p>\n Overnight lows will range in the mid-to-upper 70s under partly cloudy skies.<\/p>\n Tracking the tropics<\/b><\/p>\n Tropical weather in the Gulf will aid in our wet weather as an area of low pressure moves westward across Florida.
