Photo: Gary Hershorn<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2026\/01\/22\/realestate\/tracking-air-pollution-by-neighborhood-in-new-york-city.html?unlocked_article_code=1.LFA.p6Mr.am7LV1bJfxNn&amp;smid=url-share\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">recent New York Times analysis<\/a> of New York City Community Air Survey data ranked Midtown as the most polluted neighborhood in the city for PM2.5 in 2024, with Hell\u2019s Kitchen and Chelsea ranking third. PM2.5 \u2014 fine particulate matter small enough to lodge deep in the lungs \u2014 has been linked to asthma, heart disease, reduced lung function and premature death.<\/p>\n<p>Success!
