Is anyone missing a big pile of stuff?<\/p>\n

A couch, tattered mattresses, a broken bed frame, throw pillows, board games, a dresser filled with clothes, a box fan, and black trash bags overflowing with all manner of discarded belongings?<\/p>\n

If so, swing by the corner of Wolcott and Lloyd streets in Fair Haven and you\u2019ll find what you left behind. Here\u2019s how that corner looked at around 12:30 p.m. Monday.<\/p>\n

Update: <\/strong>On Monday afternoon, city spokesperson Lenny Speiller provided the following statement for this story:<\/p>\n

\u201cIllegal dumping is not only against the law, it\u2019s insulting to residents, disrespectful to the community and burdensome to the work of the Public Works Department who have been working around the clock to keep our streets clean and cleared of snow.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are many ways to properly and responsibly dispose of trash, including scheduling a bulk pick up at a residence or bringing the items to the dump.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Public Works Department will be at the site on Tuesday to clean it up. In addition, the contents will be searched for mail and other items that might help identify the individual responsible and to fine them accordingly.\u201d<\/p>\n
