Once again, young Keelan has taken down his dad, Kevin Harvick. This time in CARS Tour<\/a> action at Hickory Speedway. Keelan, who recently turned 13, didn\u2019t just beat his dad on Saturday night. He went for the whole thing. <\/p>\n

The Keelan vs. Kevin Harvick saga continues. And for right now, things are very one-sided. While the kid has been beating up on his dad, there is a lot that he has learned from the old man so far. <\/p>\n

The win on Saturday was pretty big. Not only did Keelan beat his dad for the third time this year in a Pro Late Model, but he also made a bit of history. He is now the only driver to win a CARS Tour West race and a regular CARS Tour race on the East Coast. <\/p>\n

In Victory Lane, the 13-year-old had to let his dad hear it. He had a little bit of trash talk for his 49-year-old father. <\/p>\n

\u201cNot as bad as this, but like you said, he\u2019s out of shape and old. So, it\u2019s kinda hard not to [beat him],\u201d Keelan said on FloRacing<\/a>. <\/p>\n

On top of the win over his dad, Keelan is locked into the Pro Late Model race on August 2 at Hickory. That is Throwback Classic weekend for the CARS Tour. He will race for $30,000 against what will likely be a stacked field.<\/p>\n

Kevin Harvick loses another one to his son<\/p>\n

You know, Kevin Harvick is in a win-win situation in this battle against his son. If he wins, he shows the kid that his old man still has something left in the tank. When he loses, no big deal, it just shows how well he\u2019s taught his son early on. <\/p>\n

Make no mistake about it, Keelan Harvick is on the fast track to NASCAR. Winning a couple of CARS Tour West races is nice. To come to Hickory and win the race there in the main CARS Tour Pro Late Model series \u2013 that\u2019s a big deal. <\/p>\n

Kevin Harvick has done a great job helping his son learn stock car racing. Keelan is mature beyond his years behind the wheel. It won\u2019t be long before we see the kid making his short track debut in the Truck Series or in ARCA. <\/p>\n

Of course, Keelan isn\u2019t the only kid of a former Cup Series champion coming up through the ranks. Just a few years back, is Brexton Busch. Kyle Busch has already laid out the plan for him and his son to one day share a truck in the Truck Series and then for Brexton to slowly take over and then move on up the ranks.
