There was an overwhelming amount of good eats, door openings and exciting restaurants on the radar. In fact, we didn\u2019t write about a single restaurant closing.<\/p>\n<p>Mardi Gras in early February kicked off the start of <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"Follow nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.star-telegram.com\/entertainment\/restaurants\/article314777033.html\">crawfish boils<\/a>. We spoke with The Wild Cajun and found out 2026 will be a good season for the mudbugs. We also told readers where to get their boil fix.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"Follow nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.star-telegram.com\/entertainment\/restaurants\/eats-beat\/article314840143.html\">Texas barbecue is heading to the Big Apple<\/a>. Try the lemon ricotta pancakes, chicken atop mini waffles or cinnamon rolls that are as large as the plate.<\/li>\n<li><b><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"Follow nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.star-telegram.com\/entertainment\/restaurants\/eats-beat\/article314824741.html\">Burger Box<\/a><\/b>: DFW burger chain, but every restaurant offers different items. Large cheeseburger combo with crinkle fries or tots and a drink for about $10.<\/li>\n<li><b><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"Follow nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.star-telegram.com\/entertainment\/restaurants\/article314850772.html\">Ichiro Izakaya<\/a><\/b>: Make a meal out of small plates\u2013 We tried the fried lotus roots, shumai dumplings, chicken thigh skewers, rib-eye skewers, grilled corn and shishito peppers and ended it all with a matcha creme brulee.<\/li>\n<li><b><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"Follow nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.star-telegram.com\/entertainment\/restaurants\/article314824245.html\">Henry McCarty Irish Pub<\/a><\/b>: The nicest Irish pub Fort Worth has seen serves Guinness on draft, Irish mules, Irish nachos, Galway Bay mussels and wings\u2026to name a few.<\/li>\n<li><b><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"Follow nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.star-telegram.com\/entertainment\/restaurants\/eats-beat\/article314872140.html\">Chadra Mezza &amp; Grill<\/a><\/b>: The Lebanese and Italian restaurant reopened in its fifth location.
