Jannik Sinner<\/a> clawed closer to Carlos Alcaraz<\/a> in their Big Titles battle on Sunday when the No. 1 player in the PIF ATP Rankings defeated his great rival 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4<\/a> to claim the Wimbledon<\/a> trophy.<\/p>\n Sinner has now won nine Big Titles, a combination of Grand Slam championships, trophies at the Nitto ATP Finals<\/a> and ATP Masters 1000 tournaments, and Olympic singles gold medals. The 23-year-old has claimed two of them this year, emerging victorious at the Australian Open<\/a> and SW19.<\/p>\n Big Titles Won: Alcaraz & Sinner<\/strong><\/p>\n Sinner has won all of his Big Titles in the past two years, having earned his first in August 2023 at Toronto. During that period he has claimed four Grand Slam championships, four ATP Masters 1000 trophies and a title at the Nitto ATP Finals<\/a> (2024). His winning rate over that stretch has been one Big Title secured for every 2.4 events played.<\/p>\n You May Also Like: Sinner gains Alcaraz revenge, wins first Wimbledon crown<\/a><\/p>\n The Italian became the first man or woman from his country to earn a Wimbledon<\/a> singles title. Matteo Berrettini<\/a> reached the final in 2021 and Jasmine Paolini advanced to the championship match last year, but both stars fell short.<\/p>\n The World No. 1 is now just one Grand Slam title behind this year’s Roland Garros<\/a> champion Alcaraz, who has five. Sinner held three championship points against the Spaniard in the Paris final, but was unable to seize the Coupe des Mousquetaires.<\/p>\n Both men are one major triumph from completing the Career Grand Slam. Sinner only needs to win Roland Garros<\/a>, while Alcaraz is only missing an Australian Open<\/a> trophy.<\/p>\n Wimbledon 2″ src=”https:\/\/www.riddle.com\/embed\/a\/rOBgwRMg?lazyImages=false&staticHeight=false” allow=”autoplay” referrerpolicy=”strict-origin”><\/p>\n Sinner has won a Big Title for every 4.6 tournaments he has played in his career.
