Temperatures are looking up for New Yorkers, though that warm weather<\/a> will come with some rainfall.<\/p>\n

The National Weather Service expects temperatures<\/a> in Central Park to fall just short of 50 degrees Wednesday, then dip to 45 degrees Thursday before a weekend warm-up begins.<\/p>\n

The mercury is expected to reach 50 degrees Friday, followed by a high of 57 on Saturday. Sunday and Monday highs are forecast to reach the low 60s.<\/p>\n

Other weather services expect even warmer skies.<\/p>\n

Accuweather says temperatures will fall just short of 70<\/a> degrees on Wednesday of next week. The Weather Channel says that afternoon could see the mercury hit 74 degrees.<\/p>\n

The warm-up will be welcomed by many New Yorkers who\u2019ve braved an often cold and snowy winter. Gov. Kathy Hochul acknowledged<\/a> on Feb. 5 that \u201cThis winter has proven to be a brutal one.\u201d<\/p>\n

Though spring doesn\u2019t begin<\/a> until March 20, the showers are staring sooner.<\/p>\n

Accuweather predicts a 30% chance of rain early Thursday morning with showers likely before 1 p.m. in Midtown. Thursday night is expected to be wet as well.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s also a 30% chance of rain before 1 p.m Friday. Saturday afternoon will be cloudy before a likely rainfall comes sometime before 1 a.m.<\/p>\n

According to the Weather Channel\u2019s 10-day forecast, next week\u2019s temperatures include a 57-degree Thursday followed by several days with highs in the 40s. Rain is also predicted through parts of that stretch.<\/p>\n

ABC News meteorologist Lee Goldberg warns that the warm short warm stretch beginning Sunday shouldn\u2019t be mistaken for the start of summer<\/a>. He said Tuesday that the chillier air may come back around the middle of the month bring with it \u201csome chances for some wintry precipitation.\u201d<\/p>\n
