A person was shot and injured in a vehicle Friday night in south Fort Worth, police said.<\/p>\n

Officers responded to John Peter Smith Hospital around 11:30 p.m. after someone arrived at the emergency room with a gunshot wound in the lower back. The shooting occurred in the 700 block of West Gambrell Street, according to police records.<\/p>\n

The injured person is expected to survive, police said. The circumstances of the shooting are under investigation, and the Gun Violence Unit has been notified.<\/p>\n
