\n\t\u201cFull House\u201d star Jodie Sweetin<\/a> recently appeared on an episode of the \u201cOnly Child With Bob the Drag Queen\u201d\u00a0podcast<\/a>\u00a0(via EW<\/a>) where she briefly touched upon her political differences with former co-star Candace Cameron Bure<\/a>. The duo starred as sisters Stephanie and D.J. Tanner on all seven seasons of ABC sitcom and then reprised the characters on the Netflix sequel series \u201cFuller House.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWhen podcast host Bob the Drag Queen noted that \u201cCandace has gone\u00a0a little bit Dave Chappelle-y too\u201d in recent years, referencing Bure\u2019s conservative and alleged anti-LGBTQ+ beliefs<\/a>, Sweetin responded: \u201c[She] does her thing and, you know, we sit on very opposite sides of things and I\u2019m just, kind of, a loud outspoken bitch about a lot of things, and that\u2019s not going to stop me. And if that ain\u2019t you, that ain\u2019t you.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBure\u00a0ignited controversy<\/a>\u00a0in fall 2022 when she became the chief creative officer of the conservative-leaning Great American Family (GAF) network and\u00a0The Wall Street Journal<\/a>\u00a0that GAF would be keeping \u201ctraditional marriage at the core\u201d of its output, meaning it would be highly unlikely for GAF shows and films to include LGBTQ+ couples.<\/p>\n

\n\tAmid the blowback against Bure, Sweetin told\u00a0Entertainment Tonight\u00a0<\/a>that she is an \u201coutspoken ally for LGBTQ communities\u201d and will remain so, adding: \u201cI\u2019ve always tried to fight for equality and love for everyone. I feel like if you have a voice and you have a platform, it is incumbent on you to be loud and use it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSweetin spoke out the following year <\/a>when her television movie, \u201cCraft Me a Romance,\u201d was sold to GAF. She expressed disappointment in the decision.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cSometimes, we, as actors, don\u2019t have control over which network buys the projects we are in, nor are we a part of the process in which they get sold,\u201d Sweetin said in a statement. \u201cSo I was very surprised to learn by reading about it in the press yesterday that the independent film I worked on over a year ago was sold to Great American Family. I am disappointed, but in keeping with my mission of supporting the LGBTQ+ family, any potential or future money made from this sale will be donated to LGBTQ+ organizations.\u201d<\/p>\n
