PHOENIX \u2014 The Mercer, an American bistro and martini lounge, opened at the Esplanade earlier this month.<\/p>\n

The location of the elegant restaurant was formerly occupied by the MercBar, which closed last year<\/a> after 28 years.<\/p>\n

The Mercer is located at 2525 E. Camelback Road.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

The bistro\u2019s menu features sushi rolls, a raw bar, grilled branzino fish and tableside cut prime rib.<\/p>\n

The bar offers up several martini options, including a Pickle martini made with Wheatley Dill Vodka and Grillo pickle brine.<\/p>\n

The new spot is under the ownership of 151 Hospitality, which was co-founded by Phoenix restaurateurs Peter Hearn and Rick Phillips.<\/p>\n

Other restaurants under the group are Little Pickle and Camello, a Mexican restaurant scheduled to open up this year.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n
