Chicago police were searching for a gunman on an electric scooter who shot and robbed a teenage boy on the city’s Far North Side, authorities said Sunday.<\/p>\n
At around 5:15 p.m., a 17-year-old boy was approached by a man riding a scooter in the 2100 block of West Granville Avenue near Hoyne Avenue. The suspect displayed a gun, took the victim’s property and fired a shot in his direction, Chicago police said.<\/p>\n
The teen sustained a gunshot wound to his upper body and left forearm. He was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition.<\/p>\n
The suspect fled in an unknown direction, riding the electric scooter. As of Sunday night, no suspects had been identified. <\/p>\n
