Britney Spears was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and\/or drug Thursday after being arrested near Los Angeles, according to multiple reports.<\/p>\n
The 44-year-old singer of such hits as \u201c\u2026Baby One More Time\u201d and \u201cOops!\u2026 I Did It Again\u201d was pulled over by California Highway Patrol officers and arrested about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday in Ventura County, just west of Los Angeles.<\/p>\n
According to Ventura County Sheriff\u2019s inmate records, Spears \u2014 a mother of two \u2014 was booked at 3:02 a.m. Thursday and released at 6:07 a.m.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s unclear where in Ventura County she was pulled over and if she was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs or both.<\/p>\n
According to TMZ, Spears was taken to a hospital after her arrest to have blood drawn to determine her intoxication level.<\/p>\n
In a deal estimated to be worth $200 million, Spears recently sold her music catalog which includes publishing rights, royalties and ownership share in her music.<\/p>\n
She was divorced from her third husband, Sam Asghari, in 2023 after a 14-month marriage.<\/p>\n
Their relationship endured while Spears fought a highly publicized battle to extricate herself from a conservatorship that had overseen her personal and financial affairs for more than a decade.<\/p>\n
Asghari publicly supported her efforts, and Spears even argued during the fight that one of the reasons she wanted to exit the conservatorship was so she could get married and possibly have another child.<\/p>\n
With the conservatorship eventually lifted, the couple were married in June 2022. They did not have any children.<\/p>\n
Spears was married for less than three days in 2004 to childhood friend Jason Alexander \u2014 not the Jason Alexander of \u201cSeinfeld\u201d fame \u2014 and for nearly four years to Kevin Federline, with whom she had two boys: Sean Preston, 17, and Jayden James, 16.<\/p>\n
In 2023, a video surfaced of Spears driving erratically after leaving a restaurant in Thousand Oaks, where she lives in a posh estate.<\/p>\n
She was involved in a hit-and-run crash into a parked car in Los Angeles in 2007 while driving without a license.<\/p>\n
Spears\u2019 representative Cade Hudson acknowledged the latest trouble for the singer in a statement to the New York Post\u2019s Page Six. Spears took down her Instagram account after posting video of herself dancing in the hours before her arrest.<\/p>\n
