Many notable names and prominent figures will come together Friday in Chicago to honor the life and legacy of Civil Rights icon Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr. <\/p>\n

The homegoing services are expected to see appearances by former presidents, gospel legends and other political figures and performers.<\/p>\n

Dubbed “The People’s Celebration,” services are set to begin Friday morning at Chicago’s House of Hope, located at 752 E. 114th St. <\/p>\n

Doors opened at 9 a.m., with the service scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.<\/p>\n

NBC Chicago will livestream the funeral on Friday<\/a>, and it will also be aired on NBC Chicago’s 24\/7 Streaming News service. (Watch live in the player above) <\/p>\n
