Police have not yet released the man\u2019s identity, pending family notification.\n<\/p>\n<p>So far, no arrests have been made in the case. Police sources said three suspects wearing all black clothing, who were seen fleeing the building after shots rang out, remain at large.\n<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with information regarding the shooting can call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (for Spanish, dial 888-57-PISTA). All calls and messages are kept confidential.<\/p>\n<p>Through March 1, the NYPD reported <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nyc.gov\/assets\/nypd\/downloads\/pdf\/crime_statistics\/cs-en-us-042pct.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">four shootings and one homicide year-to-date<\/a> in the 42nd Precinct. <a href=\"https:\/\/compstat.nypdonline.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Borough-wide, the Bronx<\/a> has had 37 shootings and 16 murders year-to-date through March 1, up from 34 shootings and 14 homicides at the same point in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>\t<script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"FILE \u2013 Police investigate a crime in the Bronx.
