You\u2019re more likely to lose control of your car using this feature when it\u2019s raining.<\/li>\n<li>Slow down and leave ample room between you and the cars in front of you to avoid hydroplaning. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tdi.texas.gov\/tips\/safety\/driving-rain.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Texas Department of Insurance<\/a> recommends reducing speed by one-third in wet conditions.<\/li>\n<li>Don\u2019t panic if your vehicle starts to skid. It grows in size as other liquid water droplets collide with the hail and freeze onto the surface, according to the National Severe Storms Laboratory. <\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">When the updraft can no longer support the weight of the hail or the gust weakens, the hailstones will be dropped from the sky. The forecast hints at the possibility of a few tornadoes in the afternoon and evening. <\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">At night, there are possible showers and thunderstorms forecast before midnight and after. With a steady cloud cover, temperatures are expected to bottom out near 58 degrees. <\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">The chance of precipitation is expected to continue through the weekend and the middle of next week.
