Justin Baldoni\u2019s lawyers claim Blake Lively is attempting to dictate the terms of her upcoming deposition<\/a> just because she\u2019s famous.<\/p>\n

The \u201cJane the Virgin\u201d alum\u2019s legal team filed a response to Lively\u2019s request on Friday that her deposition \u2014 which is set to take place Thursday in New York City \u2014 be held at her lawyer\u2019s office since she was scared of being ambushed by paparazzi outside of Baldoni\u2019s lawyer\u2019s office.<\/p>\n

But Baldoni\u2019s lawyers argued that there\u2019s no proof of this and pointed out that the two lawyers\u2019 offices are only about a mile from one another, per the filing obtained by TMZ<\/a> Sunday.<\/p>\n

Baldoni\u2019s team also claimed that having Lively\u2019s deposition at her lawyer\u2019s office puts them at a disadvantage as they might need their own space to have a discussion in private during that time.<\/p>\n

According to TMZ, the actor\u2019s lawyers argued that there is no proof the actress will be ambushed by paparazzi at the deposition, which she said she feared in her court request to have it take place at her lawyer\u2019s office. GC Images<\/p>\n

\u201cAlthough Lively\u2019s foot-stomping and use of her celebrity status may have enabled her to seize control of the film, which is the crux of this dispute, her counsel\u2019s tantrum has no place in this Court,\u201d the actor\u2019s attorneys said, per the outlet.<\/p>\n

Baldoni and Lively\u2019s lawyers didn\u2019t immediately respond to Page Six\u2019s requests for comment.<\/p>\n

Lively\u2019s representatives have previously accused Baldoni\u2019s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, of attempting to make her deposition \u201ca spectacle.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMs. Lively is looking forward to her deposition next week, and it should follow the same rules as every other witness in this case,\u201d her rep told People<\/a> in a statement on Friday.<\/p>\n

\u201cJustin Baldoni\u2019s lawyer has tried to make this matter a public spectacle at every turn, even proposing to sell tickets to a televised deposition at Madison Square Garden,\u201d the statement continued. \u201cThis is a serious matter of sexual harassment and retaliation, and it deserves to be treated as such.\u201d<\/p>\n

Freedman talked about the upcoming deposition on TMZ Live<\/a> on June 10.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m gonna ask her questions under penalty of perjury, and she\u2019s gonna have to provide evidence, and she\u2019s gonna have to provide the truth of the stories,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re gonna see how consistent her testimony is with the actual facts of what transpired,\u201d he added, noting his team has video footage, emails and text messages.<\/p>\n

Lively\u2019s reps previously accused Baldoni\u2019s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, of trying to make their court battle a \u201cpublic spectacle at every turn.\u201d Christopher Peterson \/ SplashNews.com<\/p>\n

Baldoni has denied sexually harassing Lively on the set of their movie, \u201cIt Ends With Us.\u201d GC Images<\/p>\n

Lively, 37,\u00a0is suing Baldoni<\/a>, 41, for alleged sexual harassment on the set of their movie, \u201cIt Ends With Us.\u201d<\/p>\n

She\u2019s also suing his publicists for allegedly orchestrating a subsequent smear campaign against her.<\/p>\n

Baldoni, who has denied the allegations, countersued Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, for defamation and extortion.<\/p>\n
