{"id":639150,"date":"2026-03-07T17:53:52","date_gmt":"2026-03-07T17:53:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/639150\/"},"modified":"2026-03-07T17:53:52","modified_gmt":"2026-03-07T17:53:52","slug":"news-12-the-bronx-26","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/639150\/","title":{"rendered":"News 12 | The Bronx"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Bronx District Attorney\u2019s Office says three people, including a Department of Education employee, have been indicted on a murder charge <a href=\"https:\/\/bronx.news12.com\/family-remembers-bronx-father-killed-on-his-44th-birthday-in-kingsbridge\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">for a shooting in Riverdale.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Naya Brown, a DOE community coordinator, Pernell Warren and Daniel Ligon are accused of fatally shooting Keon Gill and injuring his brother on Jan. 25 near West 242nd Street and Broadway.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors say the trio faces additional charges, including attempted murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.<\/p>\n<p>Officials say Gill was fatally shot in the chest just after 3 a.m. Gill is survived by his four children.<\/p>\n<p>Luis was struck in the leg and is expected to recover.<\/p>\n<p>Gill\u2019s family told News 12 he was celebrating his 44th birthday with his brother, Luis, and a few friends at a local bar the night of his death.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI mean, eventually they say you heal\u2026I don\u2019t think so.
