Phoenix police used pepper balls to disperse a disruptive crowd during First Friday festivities after responding to a fight, according to police statements.<\/p>\n
PHOENIX \u2014 The Phoenix Police Department allegedly had to use pepper balls to disperse a crowd of people after a fight broke out during First Friday festivities in downtown Phoenix.<\/p>\n
Police said that around 11:30 p.m., officers were called to a fight near 7th and Roosevelt streets.<\/p>\n
Upon arrival, police said they found a large crowd.<\/p>\n
At least two men were detained, and as officers continued to investigate, the crowd began to become disruptive, police said.<\/p>\n
Officers said they used a less-lethal pepperball launcher to get the crowd to disperse.<\/p>\n
The men admitted to fighting but did not want to press charges, police said.<\/p>\n
