{"id":639510,"date":"2026-03-07T21:43:17","date_gmt":"2026-03-07T21:43:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/639510\/"},"modified":"2026-03-07T21:43:17","modified_gmt":"2026-03-07T21:43:17","slug":"police-use-pepper-balls-to-disperse-crowd-after-fight-breaks-out-during-first-friday-festivities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/639510\/","title":{"rendered":"Police use pepper balls to disperse crowd after fight breaks out during First Friday festivities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Phoenix police used pepper balls to disperse a disruptive crowd during First Friday festivities after responding to a fight, according to police statements.<\/p>\n<p>PHOENIX \u2014 The Phoenix Police Department allegedly had to use pepper balls to disperse a crowd of people after a fight broke out during First Friday festivities in downtown Phoenix.<\/p>\n<p>Police said that around 11:30 p.m., officers were called to a fight near 7th and Roosevelt streets.<\/p>\n<p>Upon arrival, police said they found a large crowd.<\/p>\n<p>At least two men were detained, and as officers continued to investigate, the crowd began to become disruptive, police said.<\/p>\n<p>Officers said they used a less-lethal pepperball launcher to get the crowd to disperse.<\/p>\n<p>The men admitted to fighting but did not want to press charges, police said.<\/p>\n<p>A couple of minutes later, there was an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.12news.com\/article\/news\/crime\/suspect-at-large-2-people-shot-first-friday-festival-downtown-phoenix\/75-eb82cb7b-b128-4e84-b596-0709d52c5b6c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">unrelated shooting<\/a> nearby.<\/p>\n<p>&gt;&gt;
