She was 65.<\/p>\n<p>Runyon\u2019s close friend, Erin Murphy, confirmed her death in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ErinMurphy1964\/posts\/pfbid04Ypu4ek8WxaZ1RQx7EXxhT7QVHYB6MSVPLyit2pRF57c4tkfv8m9QAPHbu6qWpu8l\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Facebook post<\/a>, writing, \u201cSo sad to share that my friend Jennifer Runyon Corman has passed away after a brief battle with cancer. Some people you just know you\u2019ll be friends with before you even meet. She was a special lady. I\u2019ll miss you Jenn. My thoughts are with your family and beautiful children.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tRunyon made her feature film debut in the 1980 slasher film \u201cTo All a Good Night\u201d and went on to have supporting roles in the comedies \u201cUp the Creek\u201d and \u201cGhostbusters,\u201d both released in 1984.<\/p>\n<p>The actress also had a lead role as Gwendolyn Pierce in the 1984 sitcom \u201cCharles in Charge\u201d during the show\u2019s first season. In 1988, she portrayed Cindy Brady in the television film \u201cA Very Brady Christmas.\u201d Also in 1988, Runyon played the lead in \u201cThe In Crowd\u201d and was in the pilot of \u201cQuantum Leap.\u201d She also starred in the comedy \u201c18 Again!,\u201d and made guest appearances on \u201cMurder, She Wrote,\u201d \u201cA Man Called Sarge,\u201d and \u201cBeverly Hills, 90210.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Runyon was born on April 1, 1960, in Chicago, Ill. to radio announcer and disc jockey Jim Runyon and actress Jane Roberts.<\/p>\n<p>In 1991, Runyon married Todd Corman, a collegiate basketball coach who also worked in film and television production between sports seasons. The couple have two children: a son named Wyatt and a daughter named Bayley.<\/p>\n<p>In 2014, Runyon stated she was semi-retired from acting and was instead working as a teacher.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe will always be remembered for her love of life and her devotion to her family and friends,\u201d read her Facebook tribute post. \u201cI know from above she\u2019s looking down on all of us with her beautiful smile.
