What began in 2019 as a small gathering of local artists has blossomed into one of the East Valley\u2019s most vibrant creative collectives.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Now celebrating six years of collaboration, the Ocotillo Artists Group (OAG) continues to champion artistic growth, small business support, and community connection.<\/p>\n
Today, the group includes artists from Chandler, Gilbert, Tempe, San Tan Valley, Maricopa, Sun Lakes, Queen Creek and beyond.\u00a0 OAG is a unique group as it represents a rich mix of disciplines and art mediums including painting, sculpture, ceramics, woodworking, jewelry, fiber arts, mixed media, glass and more.\u00a0<\/p>\n
United by a shared passion for art and entrepreneurship, the members meet monthly in South Chandler to exchange ideas, share resources, learn the business of art, and plan public events.<\/p>\n
Over the years, the group has hosted nine art shows, offering the public a chance to meet local artists and purchase original work directly. Their next event is coming up and promises a festive atmosphere in a comfortable indoor setting 9 a.m.-3 p.m. March 28 at the Holiday Inn-Chandler, 1200 W. Ocotillo Road.<\/p>\n
The show is open to the public with ample free parking.<\/p>\n
In addition to hosting their own events, Ocotillo Artists Group members exhibit work at major venues across Arizona, including the Tempe Festival of the Arts, Tucson Sculpture Show, Hidden in the Hills Studio Tour, Artists of the Superstitions, Camelback Studio Tour and galleries in Scottsdale, Cave Creek, Carefree, Chandler, Florence.<\/p>\n
