Jannik Sinner has sought to offer a little bit of clarity on his coaching situation after winning Wimbledon.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This title marked his fourth at the Grand Slam level, and might just be the most special.<\/p>\n

After all, it is his first not on a hard court, and came against the two-time defending champion Carlos Alcaraz<\/a> at one of tennis\u2019 most heralded venues.<\/p>\n

Upon winning that crucial championship point, the 23-year-old made the usual climb up towards his box to greet his family and coaching staff.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

There was a particularly poignant moment which involved Darren Cahill, where they crouched, arm in arm, celebrating what they had accomplished together.<\/p>\n

It surely must have got the Australian rethinking his decision to depart.<\/p>\n

Jannik Sinner delivers update on plans for his coaching team after Wimbledon<\/strong><\/p>\n

Speaking on his current coaching situation, which is due to come to an end of this season, Jannik Sinner<\/a> has offered some clarity.<\/p>\n

He revealed: \u201cWe made a bet before the final\u2026 I told him that if I won, I could choose whether he would stay at the end of the year or not. Now the choice is mine!<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve always looked for an honest person who gives me so much, not just on the tennis court, but also in life outside, both in success and disappointment. He\u2019s great at that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I choose to stay with him, he probably won\u2019t travel so much anymore, that\u2019s normal. I\u2019ve always told him I\u2019d like to have him in Australia, because things are going well. Plus, the season is still long, there are still a lot of tournaments to go, and I\u2019ll still see him a lot\u2026 But I won the bet, now we\u2019ll see.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cahill\u2019s game plan for the final certainly worked, as Alcaraz admitted he was confused against Sinner<\/a>, unable to figure out a plan to stop him from winning Wimbledon<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jannik Sinner simply must stay with Darren Cahill<\/strong><\/p>\n

There were eyebrows raised when the decision became public, but now more than ever it will be questioned.<\/p>\n

Sinner must not part ways with Cahill.<\/p>\n

And whether that does mean coaching with him in a reduced capacity, the tactical know-how he brings to the court is priceless. Not only that, but it\u2019s clearly paying off too.<\/p>\n

He may not be able to travel to every event, but just to have him involved in some capacity would surely be crucial in ensuring that Sinner remains on track to rewrite history.<\/p>\n
