Officers say around 1:30 p.m., Telix was heading eastbound near 3rd Avenue and Indian School Road<\/a> when she ran a red light and hit a Chevy Cruze that was going through the intersection on a green light. The Chevy driver, 75-year-old John Conway, was rushed to the hospital and later died. <\/p>\n Court documents state moments before the deadly crash, Telix sideswiped another vehicle and didn\u2019t stop. The driver reported that Telix hit his Dodge Charger and then sped off, but he witnessed the deadly crash not long after. <\/p>\n Investigators reviewed traffic camera footage, which shows the light was red for seven seconds before Telix ran the light. <\/p>\n In an interview with police, Telix reportedly said she was on the phone and talking while driving and didn\u2019t remember passing 7th or 3rd avenues on Indian School Road. Investigators say Telix also admitted she has never had a driver\u2019s license or permit in Arizona. <\/p>\n Court documents say police obtained data from Telix\u2019s Buick, which showed that she was going 77 miles per hour less than a second before the crash. Authorities say the speed limit along that stretch is 35 miles per hour. <\/p>\n Telix was booked on one count of reckless manslaughter, one count of leaving the scene of an accident and a charge of an accident involving death with a revoked or suspended license.<\/p>\n She was held in the Maricopa County jail on $150,000 bond.<\/p>\n See a spelling or grammatical error in our story?
