{"id":645979,"date":"2026-03-10T16:49:11","date_gmt":"2026-03-10T16:49:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/645979\/"},"modified":"2026-03-10T16:49:11","modified_gmt":"2026-03-10T16:49:11","slug":"bears-safety-coby-bryant-reacts-to-big-contract-with-chicago","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/645979\/","title":{"rendered":"Bears safety Coby Bryant reacts to big contract with Chicago"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>March 10, 2026, 11:25 a.m. CT<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">The <a href=\"\" data-t-l=\":b|z|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\">Chicago Bears<\/a> made a splash on the first day of NFL&#8217;s free agency negotiation window, agreeing to terms with safety Coby Bryant on a three-year, $40 million deal with $25.75 million guaranteed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">It was a big move for the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/sportsdata.usatoday.com\/football\/nfl\/teams\/chicago-bears\/326\" data-autotag=\"69c69e75-f807-4542-90d2-619e6d4a23b1\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-t-l=\":b|e|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\">Bears<\/a> with both starting safeties, Kevin Byard and Jaquan Brisker, hitting the open market and with plenty of holes to fill at the position. It&#8217;s also a big deal for Bryant, coming off his rookie contract, cashing in on a big season that ended in a Super Bowl championship with the Seattle Seahawks. Now, he&#8217;ll be called on to be a leader for the Bears defense next year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Following the agreement of his deal being reported by several NFL insiders, Bryant took to social media and had quite the hilarious reaction to his lucrative contract.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"gnt_em gnt_em_gl gnt_em__el\" href=\"http:\/\/bearswire.usatoday.com\/picture-gallery\/sports\/nfl\/bears\/2026\/03\/09\/bears-2026-free-agency-tracker\/89072490007\/\" data-t-l=\"\u2691g:l|l|c|view gallery:inline promo\" aria-label=\"View Gallery - Chicago Bears 2026 free agency tracker\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><img class=\"gnt_em_gl_i\" data-g-r=\"lazy\" data-gl-src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/1773161351_771_89072594007-usatsi-28378926.jpg\" data-gl- decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"372\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">The big contract will come with even bigger expectations for Bryant, and Chicago still has a few more moves to make to shore up their secondary ahead of the 2026 season.
