Nadal, meanwhile, is enjoying a new phase of his life in retirement and is trying his best to stay away from the Grand Slams.<\/p>\n

He watched his compatriot Alcaraz against Sinner from Mallorca, where Nadal claims he is able to spend a summer for the first time since he was a teenager.<\/p>\n

When asked by The Times<\/a> if he was sad he was not attending Wimbledon<\/a> for the final, Nadal replied: \u201cHonestly no, I\u2019ve had a change of life. I\u2019m enjoying the tournament from a different perspective.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope in the future I can go back to Wimbledon<\/a>. Now I\u2019m in a different phase of life.\u201d<\/p>\n

From his home in Manacor, he cheered Alcaraz on and wouldn\u2019t be surprised if the 23-year-old eclipsed his legacy.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt won\u2019t bother me at all if by the end of his career Carlos has done better than me,\u201d Nadal added.<\/p>\n
