The only areas that remain under the watch are closer to Beaumont and Port Arthur.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Some rain remains, but it is confined to coastal counties such as Chambers, Galveston, and Brazoria Counties.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">We mentioned a chance of a few isolated thunderstorms redeveloping on the backside and it appears one has closer to Austin near Bastrop. We will watch and see if any more develop that could impact areas closer to Houston.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">A cold front will bring a line of storms across Southeast Texas on Wednesday afternoon and evening. <\/p>\n<p><b>Storm timeline: <\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Around 1 p.m., the front pushes into the Brazos Valley, bringing heavy rainfall, wind, and a lightning threat to Southeast Texas. <\/p>\n<ul class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 kDvXdO font_openSans articleList\">\n<li class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__StackBase-sc-1fnzlkn-7 ecGWWE iQviKm\"\/><\/ul>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">At this time, we can also see some thunderstorms ahead of the front that could be stronger. <\/p>\n<p>Storms 2pm (Copyright 2025 by KPRC Click2Houston &#8211; All rights reserved.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">The line of thunderstorms will continue to push in from the northwest to the southeast through the afternoon. There are no rain chances on Thursday or Friday. <\/p>\n<p>2AM Thursday<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">This will impact afternoon pickup, the evening commute, and folks who are heading to the Rodeo to see Creed.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 kDvXdO font_openSans articleList\">\n<li class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__StackBase-sc-1fnzlkn-7 ecGWWE iQviKm\"\/><\/ul>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">The biggest concern with this system will be damaging wind gusts, skittle to penny size hail and locally heavy rain.
