Viral video shows former President\u00a0Bill Clinton<\/a>\u00a0appearing to nudge former first lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton toward a busy New York City intersection crosswalk Tuesday, prompting her to pull back and protest as the couple attempted to cross the street.<\/p>\n

The Clintons were walking in\u00a0New York City\u00a0after attending an event and visiting their daughter, Chelsea Clinton, when the awkward encounter unfolded.<\/p>\n

Video showed the former president smiling as he pushed his wife <\/a>into an adjoining crosswalk, in an apparent jaywalking attempt.<\/p>\n

Hillary Clinton\u00a0pulled back and raised her hands in front of her to avoid being thrust into the street, saying, \u201cNo, no, no, no, no. Don\u2019t do that. Don\u2019t do that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s not a good idea,\u201d Bill Clinton replied with a grin.<\/p>\n

Moments later, the crosswalk signal changed, and the pair \u2014 accompanied by what appeared to be a security detail \u2014 crossed the street without incident.<\/p>\n

The appearance came days after the Clintons wrapped up their testimony in a probe<\/a> related to the government\u2019s handling of the case against disgraced late financier and sex offender\u00a0Jeffrey Epstein.<\/p>\n

In an unprecedented deposition, the former president and first lady\u00a0testified under subpoena\u00a0to the House Oversight Committee as part of its investigation.<\/p>\n

Bill Clinton had publicly acknowledged a past relationship with Jeffrey Epstein<\/a>, including shared trips. However, the Clintons have not been accused of misconduct related to Epstein.<\/p>\n

Investigators agreed to examine how Epstein cultivated ties with prominent individuals to help obscure his criminal activity, prompting former President Bill Clinton and President\u00a0Donald Trump\u2019s inclusion in Epstein document releases.<\/p>\n
