Dana White has insisted that he didn\u2019t even know Jake Paul was putting his next fight head-to-head with UFC 317 \u2013 or that he was working with one of his greatest rivals.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Paul has teamed up with Oscar De La Hoya<\/a> and Golden Boy Promotions to deliver his upcoming bout with former world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr<\/a>. The fight takes place at Anaheim\u2019s Honda Center, and features Golden Boy\u2019s cruiserweight champion Gilberto \u2018Zurdo\u2019 Ramirez in the co-main event.<\/p>\n

Going head-to-head with Paul is the main event of International Fight Week; UFC 317<\/a> at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The world title double-header sees Ilia Topuria <\/a>face Charles Oliveira<\/a> for the vacant lightweight title which Alexandre Pantoja<\/a> defends his flyweight belt against Kai Kara-France<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Dana White claims he didn\u2019t know Jake Paul\u2019s next fight clashed with UFC 317<\/p>\n

Despite the fact that both events are likely to take audience share from one another in the ever-dwindling pay-per-view market, Dana White<\/a> doesn\u2019t seem too concerned about Jake Paul\u2019s<\/a> upcoming fight with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr going head-to-head with his big Las Vegas showcase.<\/p>\n

International Fight Week is often called the UFC\u2019s \u2018Super Bowl\u2019, with a string of events preceding the big show on Saturday. But there appears to be a real buzz building around Paul and his bout with former middleweight world champion Chavez Jr.<\/p>\n

But speaking with Bloody Elbow, White didn\u2019t seem too interested, claiming not to know the fight was on and even asking who Paul\u2019s opponent will be. \u201cI didn\u2019t even f\u2014ing know that,\u201d he said. \u201cI didn\u2019t even know he was fighting so that\u2019s how concerned I am about it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Asked if he felt it was a \u2018proper fight\u2019 for Paul, who is often critiqued for his level of opponent, White replied that it was an \u201cinteresting\u201d contest and repeated \u201cI didn\u2019t even know that.\u201d <\/p>\n

When Bloody Elbow made him aware that De La Hoya was involved in the promotion, he replied \u201cNo f\u2014ing way,\u201d before branding the event a \u201cS\u2014 show\u201d.<\/p>\n

The feud between White and De La Hoya has been brewing for years, with the boxing legend even once making the move into MMA to promote a show. It still rages on to this day, with the former taking shots at the latter any chance he gets.<\/p>\n

De La Hoya has recently claimed that the Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford fight will happen during the day of September 13 on Netflix. This would be so as to avoid a clash with the Noche UFC event in Texas that night, although White insists this is false information.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow the f\u2014 would he know that?\u201d White asked when the idea was put to him. \u201cIt\u2019s not true. So you\u2019re saying that when we were talking about getting into it and that some people would [be upset], does De La Hoya count? I mean, come on.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not that there\u2019s any rivalry, De La Hoya is just a douche bag, there\u2019s a big difference between that and rivalry\u2026 Some of these guys I have great relationships with and then there\u2019s the f\u2014ing lunatics like De La Hoya and [Bob] Arum and guys like that.<\/p>\n

\u201cListen, we\u2019re going to do what we do, we\u2019re going to move forward and we pretty much do everything that we say we\u2019re going to do, we get it done.
