X \/ @CClarkReport<\/p>\n<p>Cunningham\u2019s shirt created waves online as fans reacted to it.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe shirt Sophie! Way to have your teammates back,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/AmberWavesof47\/status\/1936836642020495623\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">one person wrote on X<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTRES LECHES LEZGO,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/sjhall17\/status\/1936837440569786621\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">another persona added.<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI need that shirt!\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/jones_jerod\/status\/1936860310867939518\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">a third person commented<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The shirt is being sold by Barstool Sports, whose founder Dave Portnoy is a well-documented fan of the Fever, and more specifically, Clark.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Cunningham was added to the Fever roster via a trade with the Mercury and she has become a fan favorite, with her popularity skyrocketing recently after vehemently defending Clark during a contentious game against the Mercury.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Lexi Hull (No. 10), Caitlin Clark (No. 22) and Sophie Cunningham (No. 8) have become close friends.  Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>The guard committed a hard foul on Jacy Sheldon in retaliation for a foul earlier in the game on Clark, which many fans felt was not dealt with severely enough.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Cunningham herself <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/06\/22\/sports\/sophie-cunningham-shreds-wnba-refs-for-not-protecting-caitlin-clark\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">criticized the refs <\/a>following a practice on Saturday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not focused on the extracurricular activities,\u201d Cunningham said, \u201cand you know what? During that, it was just part of the game. I think the refs had a lot to do with that, it was a build-up of a couple of years now of them just not protecting the star player of the WNBA. At the end of the day.
