Philadelphia officials have launched a public dashboard designed to track services, resources and progress throughout Kensington<\/a>.<\/p>\n Mayor Cherelle Parker’s office announced the Kensington Dashboard<\/a> on Wednesday, describing it as a tool that will provide regularly updated information about work underway in the neighborhood.<\/p>\n The dashboard was developed by the Mayor\u2019s Office of Philly Stat 360<\/a> \u00a0and is intended to give residents a clearer picture of how city agencies are operating in Kensington, officials said.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cIncreased budget investments give departments the resources they need to deliver services more effectively and respond to the needs of Kensington residents,\u201d said Parker. \u201cThis updated dashboard provides continuously refreshed data.\u201d<\/p>\n City officials say the dashboard supports Parker\u2019s broader effort to restore order in Kensington by showing how agencies are coordinating services and resources aimed at improving quality of life in the neighborhood.<\/p>\n How the dashboard works<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n The Kensington Dashboard includes 30 metrics organized into four categories: community, public safety, quality of life and wellness.<\/p>\n The community<\/a> section features an interactive map of city facilities and neighborhood resources, including PlayStreets sites, school crossing guards and services provided in local schools.<\/p>\n The public safety<\/a> category provides historical data on crime, narcotics arrests and fire incidents in Kensington.<\/p>\n The quality of life<\/a> section tracks investigations, demolitions, city service requests and neighborhood cleaning efforts.<\/p>\n
