Listen to \u201cKnife in the Heart\u201d below. The song, she says in a press release, is \u201cmy brutalist nursery rhyme anthem\u2014the emo girl in me, fully unleashed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Li goes on to say, \u201cI had my son and his friend sing the choruses because the juxtaposition of their voices against the EBow just created such a powerful sonic landscape, somewhere I\u2019ve never really been before. A world totally collapsing in front of us and all we really have left is our humanity. My dream is to hear a whole football stadium chanting: \u2018This Life This Life is a Knife in the Heart.\u2019 To me, a pretty accurate description of what it feels like to be alive right now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Swedish artist has billed The Afterparty as her final album, according to her representatives. It is also her first in four years, following <a href=\"https:\/\/pitchfork.com\/reviews\/albums\/lykke-li-eyeye\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">EYEYE<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Lykke Li has shared the latest single from The Afterparty.
