The $871 million at risk for Banner Health<\/p>\n

My colleague Tara Bannow tuned into Banner Health\u2019s investor call last week (yes, nonprofit hospital systems have \u201cinvestors\u201d of sorts). Banner\u2019s finance team disclosed an eye-popping number: $871 million. That\u2019s how much the 33-hospital Banner collected in 2024 from two Medicaid funding programs that are headed for major cuts under the\u00a0tax law Republicans just passed<\/a>.<\/p>\n
