\n\tBoy George<\/a> has a little bit of advice for Chappell Roan<\/a> after the \u201cPink Pony Club\u201d singer went viral for confronting a group of photographers.<\/p>\n

\n\tA video of the singer was widely circulated<\/a> on social media this week, in which she asked photographers to leave her alone and to \u201cstop following me\u201d and \u201charassing me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tTaking to social media, Boy George wrote, \u201cIt\u2019s probably not helpful but I have been doing this fame thing for a while and you learn slowly and painfully that you don\u2019t get a free pass once you turn yourself into a bird of paradise.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI watched @ChappellRoan filming the paps in Paris and I laughed because I have kicked off at them many times,\u201d Boy George added. \u201cThe trick is to own your fame. yes, it\u2019s annoying at times but so is being ignored and told [you\u2019re] a \u2018has-been. Life is always now and I think Chappell looks great but cheer up girl. The world is at your feet stop kicking it! It takes so much more time to say no to a picture or a signature. Boundaries are boring. Break them with the magic of kindness!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThis is not the first time Chappell Roan sets her boundaries with photographers. While on the red carpet for Netflix<\/a>\u2018s Olivia Rodrigo: GUTS World Tour concert documentary, the singer walked up to a photographer and demanded an apology.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cYou were so disrespectful to me at the Grammys. You yelled at me at the Grammy party. I remember, you were so rude to me. And I deserve an apology for that,\u201d said Roan in the clip<\/a>. \u201cYou need to apologize to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAt the MTV Video Music Awards<\/a>, Roan scolded a photographer on the red carpet who could be heard shouting \u201cshut the f\u2014\u00a0up.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tChappell Roan has previously opened up on social media about her need to \u201cdraw lines and set boundaries<\/a>\u201d after encountering \u201cpredatory behavior disguised as \u2018superfan\u2019 behavior\u201d from some of her \u201ccreepy\u201d followers.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019ve been in too many nonconsensual physical and social interactions, and I just need to lay it out and remind you, women don\u2019t owe you s\u2014,\u201d she explained on Instagram. \u201cI chose this career path because I love music and art and honoring my inner child. I do not accept harassment of any kind because I chose this path, nor do I deserve it.\u201d<\/p>\n
