{"id":654812,"date":"2026-03-14T10:06:16","date_gmt":"2026-03-14T10:06:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/654812\/"},"modified":"2026-03-14T10:06:16","modified_gmt":"2026-03-14T10:06:16","slug":"intersection-improvements-at-scottsdale-and-dynamite-only-technically-on-budget","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/654812\/","title":{"rendered":"Intersection improvements at Scottsdale and Dynamite \u2018only technically\u2019 on budget"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Scottsdale City Engineer Alison Tymkiw\u2019s claim at the Feb. 23 Budget Review Commission that the switch from a roundabout to a signalized intersection at Scottsdale Road and Dynamite Boulevard has not pushed the road project over budget maybe true, but it does not tell the whole story either.<\/p>\n<p>It is not that the switch did not cost the city added expenses \u2014 it has to the tune of $4.14 million \u2014 it is just that the city used contingency funds and unused construction administration fees to pay for it.
