FSU brings back a starting cornerback in Ja’Bril Rawls<\/a><\/b>, who will work his way back gradually this spring from a late-season injury.<\/p>\n

And then the other corner spot, along with the other rotational slot or two, is up for grabs.<\/p>\n

FSU brought in redshirt sophomore Nehemiah Chandler<\/a><\/b>, who was a feast or famine corner at South Alabama<\/a><\/b> last season (13 PBU but 6 TD allowed). But the physical tools are fun, and he was brought in to start or at least push for a starting spot. And entering the mix to battle Chandler is Quindarrius Jones<\/a><\/b>, a senior who’s battled injury and inconsistent play up until this point of his career. It sounds like he might’ve turned a corner based on early feedback this offseason and camp.<\/p>\n

So, what does that mean for Charles Lester<\/a><\/b>? The former four-star recruit, and one-time five-star prospect, was a key piece in FSU’s 2024 class. He’s had opportunities, playing in 14 games over his first two seasons at FSU.<\/p>\n

He got some chances in the rotation after the Rawls injury late last season, and really didn’t make the most of them.<\/p>\n

Look up, and there are veterans pushing for playing time. Look to the side at a classmate like Chandler, and it’s the same. Look below, and there’s a promising freshman in Chuck Kennon<\/a><\/b>.<\/p>\n

Opportunities exist for Lester, but for others as well.
