At William P. TSA employees are considered essential workers, meaning they are required to report to work even though they are not being fully paid.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">According to the TSA union, workers received only a half-paycheck about two weeks ago and have already missed one full paycheck since the shutdown started.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Funding for the Department of Homeland Security expired February 13, creating a partial shutdown at midnight on February 14 after federal lawmakers clashed over the Trump administration\u2019s mass deportation policies.
