\n\tThe hit Zooey Deschanel comedy series The New Girl<\/a> signed off close to eight years ago, with cast reuniting for a 2020 voting PSA<\/a> and also a small assembly at the Actors Awards last year,<\/a> but what about a real reunion in the streaming era where revivals thrive? <\/p>\n

\n\tJake Johnson<\/a> who played Nick, the better-half to Deschanel\u2019s Jess on the show, believes there\u2019s a reunion that\u2019s possible, but joked to us at the Deadline SXSW<\/a> Studio that Lamore Morris is holding it up. Morris played Winston on the Liz Meriwether created Fox show, one of the idiosyncratic dude roommates of Jess, along with Schmidt (Max Greenfield).<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe\u2019re all in besides Lamorne,\u201d teased Johnson <\/p>\n

\n\tWhy? <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cBecause he got an Emmy and he thinks they\u2019re better than us,\u201d Johnson continued, \u201cAnd I have direct quotes saying \u2018I\u2019m too talented and too funny to be on a sitcom with you, hacks.’\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tMorris received a Supporting Actor Limited Series Emmy for his turn in the fifth season of Fargo. Morris also stars in Johnson\u2019s latest SXSW movie, The Sun Never Sets<\/a> from filmmaker Joe Swanberg. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAnd the stuff he has said about me, Max \u2014 it\u2019s disgusting!\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe Emmy went to his head, I\u2019m going to say that really clearly,\u201d quipped Johnson giving a shout to Morris, \u201cIt changed you, my man, but come back to the real you. I\u2019ve also talked to your family about this!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cBy the way, we\u2019re with the fans. All the fans want it too, write to Lamore on Instagram. Because he doesn\u2019t want it. He doesn\u2019t like the fans!\u201d <\/p>\n
