It’s a reminder of the true cost of the dedication and commitment of the joint force.”

Officials told CBS News on Thursday that a second U.S. Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker was damaged but landed safely on Thursday, but there were no further details available on that aircraft by Friday morning. The goal is to retrieve pilots or crew members — who may be injured or deceased — and retrieve or destroy sensitive equipment that remains intact.

Go deeper with The Free Press

In:

The U.S. military’s Central Command confirmed Friday that all six U.S. service members were killed the previous day…

[2
4446,51,83,4785,50,5884,52,77218,131
0":"post-656421","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-news","8":"tag-death","9":"tag-headlines","10":"tag-iran","11":"tag-iraq","12":"tag-news","13":"tag-plane-crash","14":"tag-top-stories","15":"tag-united-states-military","16":"tag-war
["GET
