Jay Cutler was far from the most liked player during his NFL<\/a> career and it doesn’t look like much has changed.<\/p>\n

Since retiring in 2017 the former Pro Bowl<\/a> QB has mostly stayed out of the public eye outside of last year’s DUI arrest and the fallout from his relationship with ex-wife Kristin Cavallari.<\/p>\n

But on Instagram Saturday, Cutler posted several photos<\/a> from a recent hunting trip where appeared to kill a Giant Sable antelope \u2014 a critically endangered species. Captioning the set: “Kicked off the Africa hunt with a beauty. Sable down.”<\/p>\n

It didn’t take long for Cutler’s comment box to fill with negative reactions.<\/p>\n

“Aren’t they endangered?” a person asked.<\/p>\n

“I went to Africa on a safari and saw the most incredible wildlife and never once thought about murdering them,” another said.<\/p>\n

“Why is this necessary \ud83d\ude22” a user wondered.<\/p>\n

“I can see why Kristin left him,” a fan replied.<\/p>\n

“Wow, Jay. You killed a wild animal in a place it’s rarely hunted and it had zero idea you were a threat. Suppeeerrrr impressive buddy. \ud83d\ude44” another user commented.<\/p>\n

“This is nothing to brag about,” Matthew Paul Turner shared.<\/p>\n

“The worst kind of flex.”<\/p>\n

“This is really sad \ud83d\ude14” another fan admitted.<\/p>\n

It’s worth noting that normal breeds of the sable antelope are considered population stable by the National Museum of History’s Encyclopedia of Life.<\/p>\n

Cutler’s recent hunting escapades include turkey shooting, deer hunting and taking down a mountain bear in Montana.<\/p>\n
