George Kittle won\u2019t be forgetting this year\u2019s Tight End University any time soon, especially because of the spontaneous duet he shared with Taylor Swift<\/a> at a bar in Nashville during the event.<\/p>\n

While speaking to NBC Sports Bay Area & California<\/a>\u2018s Matt Maiocco recently, the San Francisco 49ers star reflected on hanging out with the pop star at the NFL tight end summit \u2014 which he cohosts with Travis Kelce and Greg Olsen every year \u2014 in June. \u201cWe have a fun Monday night welcome party at our hotel in Nashville for Tight End University,\u201d he explained. \u201cTaylor and Travis came, and they were like, \u2018Hey, wanna go to Broadway?’\u201d<\/p>\n

After heading down to a bar on the famous Nashville strip with Kelce, Swift and Claire Kittle \u2014 who is married to George \u2014 the California athlete said that something magical happened. \u201cI was in the process of handing Claire and Taylor drinks for the night, and I was like, \u2018I just gotta tell her that \u2018Love Story\u2019 is one of my favorite songs, definitely my favorite Taylor Swift song,\u201d he recalled.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd as I was telling her, it came on the speakers, and I was like, \u2018I\u2019m not going to miss this opportunity,’\u201d Kittle continued. \u201cYou don\u2019t get to sing \u2018Love Story\u2019 with Taylor Swift very often. It was just an absolute riot and something I\u2019ll probably remember forever.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shortly after the event, Kittle shared a video on Instagram<\/a> of himself and Swift jumping up and down while belting out \u201cLove Story\u201d together. Kelce also makes a cameo in the clip.<\/p>\n

Tight End University took place over the course of three days in Music City, with many of the NFL\u2019s tight ends coming together from all over the country for group training and community-building activities at Vanderbilt University. In addition to attending the welcome party with Kelce, Swift showed up at the Tight Ends and Friends concert at the Brooklyn Bowl \u2014 where she surprised the crowd<\/a> with an unscheduled performance of Billboard Hot 100<\/a>-topper \u201cShake It Off.\u201d<\/p>\n

While later reflecting on the event on his New Heights podcast, Kelce revealed that his famous girlfriend\u2019s performance was entirely last-minute \u2014 as in, she didn\u2019t even practice<\/a> before taking the stage with headliner Kane Brown and his band. \u201cTay just kind of went up to [Brown] and the band and went, \u2018Hey, if you guys are down, I\u2019ll go up there, play a song and see if we can pop the roof off this place,\u2019\u201d Kelce reflected earlier in July.<\/p>\n

He added at the time, \u201c[She] just went out there without practicing, and it was pitch-perfect.\u201d<\/p>\n
