Prince Harry and Meghan Markle feel the need to broker a reconciliation with cancer-stricken King Charles before it\u2019s too late, according to multiple sources.<\/p>\n
Senior staff for the couple were spotted meeting Charles\u2019 top PR aide<\/a> in London last week in what was described as a secret peace summit.<\/p>\n Charles, 76, is still being treated for cancer,<\/a> and Hugo Vickers, author <\/a>and friend of the royal family, mused that Harry would\u00a0feel \u201criddled with guilt\u201d if he never saw his dad again.<\/p>\n Prince Harry said he did not know how much longer his father King Charles has, in an emotional interview in May. He is the one who has to apologize and beg for forgiveness, and not the other way around,\u201d Vickers told Page Six.<\/p>\n The last time Harry, 40, saw Charles was when he flew to London after the king announced his cancer diagnosis in February 2024 \u2014\u00a0and was only given a 30-minute meeting.<\/p>\n Sources told us previously that Charles \u2014 who, it was announced Monday, will host President Donald Trump<\/a> for his second state visit in September \u2014 is not cured, but is getting the best possible treatment.<\/p>\n King Charles, seen earlier this month, is still being treated for cancer. GC Images<\/p>\n In May, Harry told the BBC he \u201cwould love a reconciliation\u201d<\/a> with the royal family, in an emotional interview in which he said he was \u201cdevastated\u201d at losing a legal challenge over his security in the UK.<\/p>\n Harry revealed that Charles \u201cwon\u2019t speak to me because of this security stuff,\u201d but added that he did not want to fight any more and did \u201cnot know how much longer my father has.\u201d<\/p>\n
