{"id":66125,"date":"2025-07-15T00:04:07","date_gmt":"2025-07-15T00:04:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/66125\/"},"modified":"2025-07-15T00:04:07","modified_gmt":"2025-07-15T00:04:07","slug":"john-wick-video-game-john-wick-hex-is-being-delisted","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/66125\/","title":{"rendered":"John Wick video game John Wick Hex is being delisted"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _11x6rb9i ku7vx11 ku7vx10 t0irya1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.polygon.com\/game\/john-wick-hex\/40618\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">John Wick Hex<\/a> is being removed from Steam (and all other platforms) this week, according to a statement released by the game\u2019s publisher, Big Fan Games.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _11x6rb9i ku7vx11 ku7vx10 t0irya1\">\u201cJohn Wick Hex will be removed from sale on all platforms beginning July 17th, 2025,\u201d the statement <a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/news\/app\/1405790\/view\/596280216846860675?l=english\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">shared on the game\u2019s Steam page reads<\/a>. \u201cAfter July 17th, 2025, existing owners of John Wick Hex will still be able to access the game via their digital libraries (PC\/Console) and\/or physical copies (Console), however new purchases of John Wick Hex will not be possible, regardless of platform or storefront.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _11x6rb9i ku7vx11 ku7vx10 t0irya1\">Developed by Bithell Games and released in 2020, John Wick Hex is a cel-shaded tactical strategy game in which players take on the role of the king of revenge himself. The game <a href=\"https:\/\/www.polygon.com\/reviews\/2019\/10\/8\/20903327\/john-wick-hex-review-pc-mac-keanu-reeves-john-wick-video-game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">plays a bit like a board game, and its combat is time-based,<\/a> not turn-based, so in addition to managing health and ammo, players must also manage the most valuable resource of all: time. Each action eats up some of that time, from a fraction of a second to reload, to multiple seconds to bandage up wounds. Run out of time, and you fail the mission.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _11x6rb9i ku7vx11 ku7vx10 t0irya1\">Big Fan Games\u2019 statement didn\u2019t detail the reason for the game\u2019s impending removal, but given the fact that the publisher is mainly known for publishing licensed games, it\u2019s possible the publisher\u2019s license to use the John Wick IP has expired and not been renewed.
