He\u2019s 1-for-25 for the Mets after another hitless night. <\/p>\n<p>Mendoza said he spoke with the slugger. \u201cHe\u2019s fine,\u201d the manager said. \u201cI told him, \u2018You\u2019re on the team. You\u2019re not trying to make the team. Continue to get hard contact, and work defensively.
