{"id":663092,"date":"2026-03-17T23:25:12","date_gmt":"2026-03-17T23:25:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/663092\/"},"modified":"2026-03-17T23:25:12","modified_gmt":"2026-03-17T23:25:12","slug":"la-phil-unveils-upcoming-walt-disney-concert-hall-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/663092\/","title":{"rendered":"LA Phil Unveils Upcoming Walt Disney Concert Hall Season"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Los Angeles Philharmonic announced Tuesday its 2026-27 season at Walt Disney Concert Hall, featuring the debut of Esa-Pekka Salonen as creative director and the return of former music director Gustavo Dudamel as a guest conductor.<\/p>\n<p>Salonen is taking on the newly created role of creative director for the orchestra.<\/p>\n<p>The season will include a wide range of classical and contemporary programming, including a season-long \u201cRituals\u201d festival curated by Salonen exploring themes of ritual in music and everyday life,  according to the LA Phil.<\/p>\n<p>Salonen will lead several major works, including Mozart\u2019s Requiem and Stravinsky\u2019s \u201cThe Rite of Spring,\u201d along with world premieres and collaborations with director Peter Sellars.<\/p>\n<p>Dudamel, returning to Walt Disney Concert Hall for the first time since concluding his tenure as the orchestra\u2019s music and artistic director, is scheduled to conduct three programs.
