Over the last eight days, the Chicago Sky have faced the league-best Minnesota Lynx three times.<\/p>\n

After dropping the first matchup 80-75 in a hard-fought battle, the Sky responded with an impressive win on Saturday. However, in Monday night\u2019s rubber match, Chicago fell 91-78 despite a competitive effort, dropping to 7-14 on the season, while the Lynx improved to 19-4.<\/p>\n

Leading the way once again for Chicago was Angel Reese, who notched her ninth straight double-double \u2014 finishing with 22 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and a block while shooting 9-for-14 from the field and 4-for-6 from the free-throw line.<\/p>\n

Following the game, the Sky announced Reese as their “Player of the Game,” an honor she\u2019s earned more than any other player on the roster this season.<\/p>\n

“A menace on both sides of the court,” Sky posted.<\/p>\n

Chicago also got a strong contribution from Rachel Banham, who added 15 points, two rebounds, and two assists. Banham has continued to step up in a bigger role following the season-ending injury to veteran Courtney Vandersloot.<\/p>\n

On the Lynx side, MVP candidate Napheesa Collier put on a dominant display, pouring in a game-high 29 points to go with five assists and three rebounds.<\/p>\n

The Sky will be back in action on Wednesday night against the Atlanta Dream in their final game before the All-Star break. When they return, they’ll once again face the Minnesota Lynx \u2014 marking the fourth meeting between the two teams in just a few short weeks.<\/p>\n
